Been gone from the game for quite a while, when I left beliefs were that Furys were solo kings, right up there with Necro's and Conj's...is that still the case or is there another healer now that is a better soloer? I have heard Wardens mentioned in game several times, are they the better druid now?

Wardens are the better druid for solo healing a group. Furies can still out solo them.

Both solo pretty well though.

As a rule, I'd rather solo heal a group with my 80 warden than my 80 mystic. Wards rule raid heal parses but that's really due to mechanics of heal order. (Wards then reactives then HoTs) /shrug My 2cp.

I have both a fury and a mystic, and the mystic is a heck of a lot easier and more fun to solo with.

Group wise - Templar, no contest

Solo - Inquis/Mystic/Warden/Fury are all viable with different pros and cons

She also outparsed slightly a fully fabled fury.

Shaman are poor healers but great buffers, the only reason they may parse high is due too wards being always used first. If your mystic parses higher than your templar or your druids it's because you have too much healers.

Note also that shaman are competitive to keep a singel target alive but rather bad in the group heal area.

Don't trust raid parses too much, healers in the MT group parse will be always much higher than the ones of the others and some healer may be buffed more than some other (coercive healing, bard toques etc ...).

Templar superiority is not in the healing power, it's in sancturay, stun immunity and better group enhancement.

Solo healing a group with my warden is easier than with my mystic, especially facing massive aoe. In old style dungeon in which damage was mostly on the MT the mystic was doing ok or may be better.

The three battle cleric solo very well tanking their mobs, furies half kite half tank. Since i dislike how kiting works in Eq2 i swithc fury for warden.

Templar/defiler are quite slow so they are supposed/forced to group, or you may simply betray and level as a the respective assoicated battlecleric.

In the high end druids probably get less good because other classes benefit much more from spell haste, a non hasted druid can already chain heals while a shaman can't. Moreover the cap on the +heal amount play in favor of big heals (or wards) and against the druids hot.

Probably all classes can heal alone any single group content, but some will have an easier time (warden, templars).

But as i said the picture is large, shaman bring big buf they push the group hit point high, bring some haste , grow the tank and add 25% to its life , they slow down the opponent and cut is dps (when they have time to debuff) ... but they are second rate for group heals, furies bring vey good offensive goodies and they have an easier time to do damage (other healers ranged damaged is poor) when massive healing is not required. In a sense a mystic is much better as a support healer/debuffer/buffer and pairs well with a fast healer.

Last thing don't judge classes ability to solo before getting around 20-30 with at least 24 aas, warden and mystic are not really good before completing the battlecleric line (same for inquisitors).
