This might seem like a strange question, but my husband and I have both been having problems with South Qeynos the past few days. If I leave my character in SQ to log off, I have a hard time logging back in. Hubby tried like 9 times for me last night while I was cooking dinner; it would get through a few of the loading screens, but then dump me back to the character select screen before it tried to load the zone itself.

I finally defragged and ran a full scan with the game itself, so I thought it was okay...until he had problems after leaving our house - which exits directly into SQ! It acted like it was zoning and then dumped him back to the character select screen, where he couldn't log back in just like the problem I was having last night. I might mention that he also defragged when I did, just in case.

We were both able to eventually make it back into SQ, but our other alts who were in the guild hall or other zones had zero problems logging in during these times.

Is South Qeynos being wonky on the Antonia Bayle server lately?

Greetings,

It's certainly possible that there was a hiccup in the zone server causing this problem. Has it cleared up for you since you posted this info?

If it's not a zone server issue then a router problem seems likely. Disconnect issues with only certain zones usually mean that the router is blocking one of the ports used by the game. I would advise bypassing your router and plugging your computer directly into the modem as a first step. If you try that and it corrects your issue then you'll need to configure your router if you wish to continue using it.The following site has great information about router configuration:http://www.portforward.com/english/...routerindex.htmSimply select the router you are using, then select the 'skip this advertisement' button in the upper right, and finally select Everquest 2 on the following page. You will then be presented with a walkthrough on how to forward the correct ports. Please respond if you need any further assistance.
