Problem patching

<p>I have recently returned to the game after abit of a break, reinstalled eq2 up to the rok expansion (Tso box version not available in Australia) so i log into the patcher expecting to download TSO and all the relevant patches.I have been trying to get it going for a week now and the download times keep coming up with 500+ hours, my internet connection is adsl 2and running normally i have no idea why the patch time is sometimes up around 700 hours can anyone help me out with this problem as i am unable to play??</p>

Also the patcher tends to misstate the download time, you can stop and restart without losing any previous files downloaded, it will restart at the file that was interupted.</p><p>The new beta station launcher is a little more accurate and stable.</p>

<p>Both patchers (default and Station Launcher) are notoriously WRONG when it comes to estimated download times. When I installed EQ2 on my new PC it would frequently stall and the download time would jump from 2 hours to 43 hours and then back down to 3 hours. If it stalled, I just stopped it and started it again. You won't lose anything you all ready downloaded, it will just scan the files and continue where it left off.</p><p>My old pc was running XP, my new one is running Vista 64 bit and the estimates and download stalls happen on both machines. OS didn't seem to make any difference for me. I also tried both launchers and got the same results, although the Station Launcher seemed to stall more often.</p>

<p><em>Thx for the replys, i am running xp pro and managed to get the patch time to 2mins then it went straight back up to 200 hours agn.Tried leaving it over night and was still hovering around 200 hours the next morning looks like i will be leaving the game once agn <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></em></p>
