Hello everyone. The trouble I am having is with my DPS. No matter what I do I can't seem to improve it. On Named and Epic mobs I am currently doing 2.8k-3k damage and this just isn't enough. Here is a little info about my Necro.

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...erId=1613693104 so you can see my gear.

I have 1077 INT self buffed, 900 Damage MOD and 56% crit. All of my spells are adept III's or better.

My Standard rotation is Soulrot, Bloodcoil, Pandemic, Drainlife, with dumbfire pets thrown in whenever they come up. I stay in Demilich form for the extra damage per attack. With this setup, I am always casting something so I really don't know what else I can do.

I am part of a very small guild and had to do PURs to get my Mythical. I am about 30 Shards short of getting full T2 and I use my Mythic pet in groups. I have tried to gear myself to improve my Damage MOD and Pet damage. I don't know what else I can do. I don't think 3k is a decent parse and I, very much, want to improve myself

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Again, as part of a small guild, raid quality loot is really not in the cards for me. Especially since it was hard enough to secure a raid spot for my mythical. Is it a matter of gear or is my spell rotation wrong? I will do anything to improve. Please help.

Edit. I forgot to add. I have 150AA. My Group spec favors buffing my Mage Pet. I have Lifeburn which I use (But didn't add to my DPS because I don't always use it) 70 Points in Summoner Tree buffing scout and mage pet, as well as upping my Crit. 70 points in Necromancer tree buffing DoTs, Mage/Scout Pets and geting lifeburn (also in heals and hearts). 10 points in TSO tree just buffing my poweer and HP.

Couple things I think could help you.

You said you have 70 points in the summoner and necro tree. You should keep the summoner tree full at your current point right now, but I would suggest getting an aa mirror. This is so you can keep tainted heals for soloing and keep dps stuff for groups. Grab a respec for that group set. Put some of those points in the mage and summoner trees, they will help you a lot more in terms of dps than what you have them in.

As far as what to get rid of, the only aa you need to keep in the summoning line at your point is the mage train. Don't keep the scout stuff, with mythical scout is useless. Keep manipulations line clear at your aa point right now, go get some points in mage and summoner tree.

Secondly, your spell damage is about 900, which for a necro might be a little overkill. Maybe aim for 700 and get some viral (disease) ornaments, and try to get that crit up.

Also, a given, but be shooting for as much pet gear as you can find that won't pull your personal stats down too far.

In addition, try and get soulrot in as often as you can, it's really more important than getting spells like pandemic in. Try rot>bloodcoil>drain life>rot>pandemic>another spell>rot, get rot in as often as you can without spending time casting nothing.

Good luck!

Get an AA mirror so you can separate your DPS spec with your Solo spec.

For DPS, reset your summoner tree, spend points in STR and INT, ignore WIS until you need to fill up points to get TSO Necro. Ignore AGI tree altogether. Spend the remaining points in TSO; the Summoner TSO abilities are high priority.

Pet gear does very little for pet DPS. The only pet effects you should look at for DPS are Power Flux.

I dont raid either and Im at 92% crit unbuffed. (check out my gear it is all obtainable through shard runs)

Get a Choker, get your spell crit as high as poss, work out a solid casting order. (coil, rot, lifetap, rot, bewilderment, coil, rot (youll figure it out) Also make sure you have a troub in group. PoTM does wonders for our DPS.Proc gear helps us also.

Dont cast swarm pets (excluding undead horde) These arent really worth casting.

Get as many master spells as you can obviously and focus on your spells instead of your pets. If in item happens to have power flux 3 then that's good but i wouldn't sacrifice spell crit for a lesser piece with power flux on it.

Use lifeburn (even on trash for higher zonewides)

Adorn your gear!!!

I can't think of anything else other than being specced for mage pet 100%

That's really all we can do the devs have really neglected our class. Im Still disappointed with my DPS considering the fact most scouts and wizards that are equally geared put my DPS to shame, and nobody wants to waste the good buffs on a summoner even if it means giving TC to the wiz whos parsing 3k
