This thread is for content-based solutions to problems with the monk class. This means altering mobs or zones in such a way to make us more desireable. Visit these threads to post your ideas for solutions to problems with monk combat arts, itemization, or AA abilities.

Aggro-Lock immune Raid mobs

Currently almost all TSO raid mobs are immune to peel's aggro-lock component, robbing us of our single greatest tool for holding aggro. Remove the aggro lock immunities from these mobs.

Strikethrough

That there is currently a means for mobs to bypass avoidance, even uncontested avoidance, but not for mobs to bypass mitigation makes avoidance tanking significantly weaker in comparison to mitigation tanking. Remove strikethrough as a mechanic completely, and if you find plate tank's avoidance is too high, then reduce that directly instead of making avoidance as a whole less useful.

Alternatively, create a mechanic by which certain mobs have a chance to bypass mitigation entirely, and use this as a means to create content for which having a brawler MT is preferable.

Damage Shields: As monks have high haste and low-delay weapons, we tend to hit mobs far more often than other tanks. This means that we take significantly more damage from damage shields, and that the debuffs/powerdrains/curses/etc. that many raid mobs have which fire on us when we attack them tend to hit monks far more than any other tank. Monks need some way to mitigate this unbalance.

More group zones made primarily of single-mob encounters

More Raid encounters that require a brawler

More encounters which require multiple fighters in the script, like the Sisters in Shard of Hate, should be put in. This can be done through scripting, like the sisters, requiring 3-4 fighters in the raid (like Zarrakon) or through fighter dps checks (Byzola, Yzlak in Munzok's Material Bastion). Raids should be designed to truly need at least one warrior, one crusader, and one brawler.
