Issue #1

I suppose this is more of an annoyance than an issue, but i have to manually open my chat window every time i log onto my main account (this never happens with my secondary account). If i log in and someone sends me a tell before i get that chat window open, its lost and i have to check my logs to see it.

This has been going on for a little over a month now and i was hoping there was a file somewhere that i could fix it. any suggestions?

Issue #2

Being in a raiding guild, my alts are in another guild as with most of my guildies. we all use a chat channel for communication. my main auto joins that channel, but my alts won't and i cannot figure out why. Some days i add it manually with /joinchannel, others i right click in the chat window and add the name and click join. they all work for joining, but it never sticks. is there a file that i can edit that contains a list of chat channels?

Greetings,

It sounds like settings file isn't saving correctly when you exit the game. Are you using Windows Vista on that computer? If so, where do you have the game installed? If you have the game installed in the program files directory then Vista will place extra write protection to those files. You might want to move the game folder to a different location, like C:GamesEverquest 2 or anywhere else besides the program files directory.

If you are not using Vista, then it's possible that one of the files in your Everquest 2 folder is set to read only. Try changing that settings using the following steps:

1. Right click the 'Everquest 2' folder and select 'properties'2. Go to the 'General' tab3. Uncheck the box that says 'read-only' at the bottom of that window4. Select 'apply to all files/folders' when prompted

Then try logging in, changing the settings, and see if they save.
