I just got done downloading TSO using station.com. Now whenever I try to play, after I right click and select 'Run as Administrator' (I use Vista, but never had a problem with it) it tells me EQ2.exe wants to run (like normal) but it sends me to EverQuest II Setup everytime. Where it proceeds to ask me if I want to Modify, Repair or Remove. Now I don't want to reinstall the whole flipping game cause that would take a bit of time, so I have selected Modify at first. I click 'Next' until it starts it's maintenance. When it is complete and I select 'Finish', the game doesn't start; the computer acts like nothing has happened.

Everytime I try to play EQII this keeps happening, the second time this happened I selected 'Repair' to see if that would change anything and it didn't. I tried to find the program EQ2.exe to see if I could remove it; if it had an extra or repair it, but there is no program to find with that name. So I was wondering what would I have to do to make it not go through the maintenance cycle and just go straight to the launcher.

Greetings,

It sounds like you have an install icon on your desktop instead of the play icon. As a first step you can go ahead and delete the icon you have been clicking on the desktop. Once you have done that, locate the directory you installed Everquest 2 in. By default, it should be located here:

C:Program FilesSonyEverquest 2

Find the program in that folder called 'EQ2.exe' Right click on that program and select 'Send to' and then 'Desktop(create shortcut)'. That should put the proper link on your desktop. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

EQ2.exe application keeps sending me to a InstallShield Wizard, which keeps asking me to either Modify, Repair or Remove all installed components. When I pick either Modify or Repair it comes to the Maintenance and when that is complete and I click Finish. Now when I try to launch the launcher again it keeps repeating the same process over and over, how would I be able to get around that so I can get to the launcher?

If you installed in the default directory it will be in the ..Program Files..... directory
