Returning player!

Returning eq2 player from long ago firing up my old 50zerk and other alts! Took a break for a while did play a couple of other mmos for a lil but nothing ever really grabbed me like eq2. So. I'm back and I missed my first <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. Question is? What new stuff should I expect or new basic things to learn now that I'm here again? Any advice or tips or vital info for a restarter? It's been over a year since I played!</span>Hi everyone!</p>

<p>Welcome Back <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Your in the same boat as me...was gone for almost 2 years (left shortly after Shard Of Fear came out)</p><p>The worst part of comming back is learing all the abbreviations for the new dungeons....</p><p>I DEFINITLY recommend getting The Shadow expansion because the AA line is awsome!!!</p><p>The Gear has had a huge increase since you left....I can now get +spell dmg for my alts <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </p><p>Lavastorm and Everfrost have both had HUGE overhauls.....really sweet now because my alts can solo that place</p><p>We now have Guild Halls so if your not in a guild I would get one cuz the portals are sooo much faster</p><p>Lots of other updates but that is a "quick overview" of what's been going on</p>

<p>Welcome back! </p><p>As mentioned, so much in the game has changed that it might be worth it to start an alt all over to see all that there is to see.  We have new starting cities with great quests and loot!  New AA's, spells, gear.... </p><p>If you are up to reading, you can try readon soe of the  <span ><a class="forumlink" href="../forums/show.m?forum_id=330">Game Update Notes</a></span> as well...</p>

<p>yay! thanks! always remember eq2s community the most friendly and family of all the mmos ive played as well.....I played wow...daoc....guild wars...aoc and a few more.  I def saw the aggro meter and am learning that, i noticed it seems they eased up on the solo game as i played for a few hours the other night in majdul and seemed more solo friendly.  I like the integrated voice, the new MAP!!! and THE BIGGEST thing i noticed was the mutlicore option in the graphics!!!! wow it runs so much better!!! its like a new game!!</p>
