Ever since last night everytime I log into the game I run around for a few seconds then I get booted. ( It says "trying login server...") I cant pick anything up or use any abilitys. I thought maybe it was my internet so I reset my modem a couple of times and also reset my computer and it keeps happening. Cant stay in the game for more than a minute at a time.

Any input would help, Thanks.

Greetings,

It sounds like a firewall might be blocking the outbound connection for your game. Are you running a firewall on that computer? If so, I would suggest opening that firewall's exception list and deleting any entries that have the words EQ2, Everquest 2, or Launchpad in them. The next time you start the game you will be asked to allow or deny those components again, and you will want to select allow. Please let me know if the issue persists after trying those steps.

Hello again,

Thanks for the help before, I went and did that, there wasn't any eq2 or station launch blocked by firewall. I went ahead and turned the firewall off also and logged into the game and it still kicked me out the same way.

Then one of my friends told me to put in a port for everquest 2 in which I did. I logged into the game and it worked, then my sound wasn't working on my computer so I reset my pc and logged back into the game, and again started kicking me out the same way. =(

Select the START button.2. Select RUN, then type in "msconfig" (for Vista, type msconfig in the search bar at the bottom of the Start Menu)3. Press OK4. Select the STARTUP tab.5. In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list.6. Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try the game again. If you are still experiencing the same issue, please reply back.
