Now i like what the new line of it does, but what really upset me was i loved to summon a temp pet. it was so dark and grungey. will we ever get it back?

Yeah, I like pet.But current sacrament line is a very nice spell.I would like pet spell to be added aside from current sacrament line. And I would like pet to be permanent pet like summoners, not temporary pet.Permanent skeleton pet is very fascinating to me.

[Edit]Vampire pet is not fascinating to me.I like skeleton.

I liked the pet for flavor, but for effectiveness the pet was of limited use. The current incarnation actually gets used way more often then it ever did as a pet.

We had a skelly in EQlive and I would like to have him back - just for the flavor or something - that stupid squire doesn't even look like he belonged to an SK.

Now THAT is a good idea. As a decidedly unpleasant fellow, I shouldn't be stuck with some goofball following me around. an armored skellie would be sweet.

I really want to see a new pet spell.Permanent and sleletal pet.SK uses Necromancy, right?

SK Permanent Skellie or Wraith Pet in 09

This is totally in line with an SK cause they are an evil class. In fact they should also be able to rez people and bring them back from the dead and for a short while they would be a skellie or zombie or wraith form.

Edit: As per reccomendation by poster below. Bump up Grave Blessing to heal more but do less dmg feedback.

id say sk's should have the grim coil i think its called wiked coil, line dropped and have it replaced with a low dps pet like we used to have. that pete was so badass.

The pet was more useless than this thread, and thats saying a lot.

The pet had a rediculous cast time and had no place in my rotation. By the time I'd exhausted all my "Real" spells there was no point in bringing him out. The current version of the spell give me yet another "Oh hell, someone pulled that patrol and I need to establish aggro on everything in the room" button. The skelly was cool for flavor, but worthless as a weapon. Would you rather have a cool skellie, or be more useful as a tank? Give us a skelly, but make it a replacement for the squire.

Yeah, I don't know how pet can be useful in tanking, too.Changing the squire to skeleton pet is a good idea, imo.The skeleton pet is scaled up by character level. And it will be useful as pet pull like Shaman's pet.

Just a thought.

Yes, while the Skele pet did little to no damage, it did help me out in one area. My main is an Assassin so I used the pet to remind myself to "flip" mobs while solo'ing so it became second nature when in grups. While I know there are many tanks who feel it is everyone elses job to get in place (mostly in PUG's I have been in) when I am tanking I get a lot of "thank you for flipping the mob" or "thank you for making my job easier" from the rest of the group. Yes I do like the current spell much, much better the old skele holds a special place in my heart.

Greetings all,

To begin, I have to agree to a certain level with all of the mentioned pro's and con's of our temp. pet..but in the end I find myself leaning towards needing it re-introduced for sentimental reasons hehe..

True the sacraments did have a slow build up in a line up of abilities, but I usually rectified this with one of our stun options.

Second, perhaps its residual from EQ1, but I still maintain my SK to be part necro hehe..Even a 3 arrow down skelle pet (similar to a shammy's spirit companion) would be cool to hang out with on long soloing dredges, let alone giving a decent output of dps in the longhaul..

If anything, the sacrament line gave a large amount of flavor to the class in my opinion, which I hope they either re-enter in the game soon (or replace with a beefed down permanent pet such as in EQ1).

Good hunting all

Personally I miss the pet but wouldn't even consider swapping it back. If it was a new pet with similar abilities I would enjoy it but only because it was sometimes useful at low levels to pull mobs without aggroing their socials. Now I would run in the room and pull them all if I'd failed anyway
