Download Times

<p>Hi Everyone,</p><p>I recently decided to restart EQ2, and purchased the game download. I've been attempting to finish the download for over 40 hours, but it just won't finish.</p><p>I'm using DSL, and have all the virus/firewall software disabled. The estimated download time has gotten as low as 3 minutes, and then jumped back up to 19 hours. I've cancelled and restarted it, and it has climbed as high as 79 hours estimated.</p><p>I've tried both the eq2 downloader and the station launcher, with no difference. I was trading messages with tech support today, with no resolution, and with live support being closed for the weekend I thought I would try the forums.</p><p>I'm a fan of the world and the gameplay, but I've already wasted 2 days trying to get it working. Any help would be great.</p>

<p>Are you using Windows Vista on that computer?  If so, please try the following steps:</p><p>1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"</p><p>If you are not running Vista then you might want to provide some additional information about your computer setup.  Are you using an antivirus, router, or firewall on that computer?</p>
