Install/Update Problems

<p>I'm returning to the game after a 2 year break.  I have the EQ2 Shadow Odessy All-in-One compilation pack (DVD) which I installed without a problem.</p><p>When I run the launcher the patcher keeps taking forever to download anything.  So far the patcher has run for over 40 hours and now shows 557 hours to go.</p><p>I have ADSL2+ and checked my download speed (line speed 4.28MBps, download speed 535KBps)</p><p>I am running XP - tried disabling firewall and anti-virus programs but it makes no difference</p><p>Have tried flushing cache</p><p>It is downloading, however the speed at which it's downloading is turtle pace - all other internet applications still work at full speed.</p><p>Any ideas on why the launcher is patching so slow?</p>

<p>i have the same kind of problem exept im a new player having never played everquest before, but i just finished my updating around 2:30-3:00 so i turned my pc off for the night. when i came back to it this morning i started up Everquest 2 and it said analizing the patch data so i figured that would take a while and i went to go watch anime and eat breakfast. when i came back to it it said it was downloading patches again and would take another 7 hrs to finish. granted my connection is a little on the slow side but jesus crist seven hrs to download the patches my other games didnt take near as long. so if anyone has any idea of what to do please help cause i really want to play this game.</p>
