As the title says, I am looking to learn whether a Mystic or Warden is a better class to turn into a full-out Melee spec. healer. I like the look and feel of them both, but I want to pick the one that in the long run will end up as the stronger fighter.

I realize fully that both classes are Healer first, and this is a role I've actually come to enjoy.. but when I'm solo and when I'm duoed with a friend, I want to provide the maximum Melee DPS I can muster.

I also know that Inquisitor is the best of the Healers for Melee specializing, but I wish to be good-aligned for Rping reasons. I've looked on the AA charts, and it seems slanted in the favor of Mystic (Strength buffs, chain, Wards..) but I want to get some veteran opinions on the subject, so:

Who is a better Melee specialized Healer, Mystic or Warden?

I play both, and I'm gonna go with Mystic in a landslide.

That was as definitive an answer as I'd hoped for, and the one I was assuming to be correct.

Am I pretty safe in saying Mystic is the second best of the Healers in the Melee department? Behind Inquisitor but above the rest?

Mystic hands down. If your spend the right points in the right areas then your pet is your best friend. I been in zones where if I could not heal fast enough I was warding very fast and all of my attack spells focused on DPS and Delay attacking. Never played the Warden so I cant say much about the class but Mystic are great

A melee mystic owns my melee warden in DPS. Wardens only get 75% crits from AAs - Mystics 100%. The cool thing about the mystics is that their heal crit AA is on the same line as their melee crit AA.

You should be able to heal just fine in melee spec as you're leveling up - however at endgame you probably will want to pick up an AA mirror to swap between melee build & gear and a DPS build & gear when doing high end content.

On the up and coming, i would say a warden and inquisitor,. are the better, but once you get to about lv 65, the warden really starts to lack the oomph that the inq and mystic have. Either way, wardens are a blast to play as is the inquisitor and mystic. Once at the last 10 lvs or so, the warden just seems to drop off compared to inquisitor and mystic. Would definately say, inquisitor or mystic is the best choice for endgame melee priest. They all do very well at hybrid roles though.

You dont need to mirror your aa's as a mystic. They can easily have the best melee and heals in the same spec. You just need 2 sets of armor
