I have a laptop running Vista and I just recently installed Norton 360. No Statiob Launcher will just sit there trying to process my Username and Password forever. I have even gone into Norton and Allowed EQ2 and Station Launcher in the Firewall. I then try and turn off the firewall and reboot and it still will not load.

Please let me know what I need to do to fix this.

Greetings,

Since Norton is almost surely causing this issue, disabling it while playing the game might correct the issue. Norton tends to be very aggressive and it will sometimes view our autoupdater as a virus. In some cases it will need to be removed entirely since it maintains a level of protection even when disabled.

I am not running Vista, nor Norton and the launcher will not progress past "Scanning for Updates".

This is only since last nights patch. Been working fine until then.

Greetings,

I know that you added an exception for Everquest 2 on the firewall, but when did you add that exception? Its possible that the game's entry for the firewall is out of date and not functioning. Please open up the firewall's exception list and delete any entries pertaining to EQ2, Everquest 2, or Launchpad. Once you have done so, try starting the game again. When you are asked to allow or deny the connection, select allow. That should re-add the exception and hopefully it will correct the problem. Please let us know if the issue persists after trying the above.
