Very non-tech poster here, but...

Is there some way to just copy EQ2 from my old computer to my new one in order to avoid the hours of patching? Even if I have to do the disc install first to get registry stuff or whatever onto the new one, couldn't I then just copy over all of the updated zone & voice files from my old system's EQ2 folder into the same folder on the new system? My tech friend tried explaining why this would not work, but I a) didn't understand the explanation, & b) wanted to be sure there wasn't something particular to the way EQ2 works that would make this possible where normally it wouldn't be.

Woo-hoo!

Follow-on question: is there a way to get the ui files over, or perhaps copy & paste the contents into the newly patched files after deleting the old ones so new computer-specific copies get made? I dread the thought of recreating my full ui settings - I have absolutely every command & control remapped to a different key.
