I don't raid and typically only group with my guild so I am typically not the MT, though it happens on occassion. It seems I should go more for the Wilderness gear for better dps, but not sure if that would be better for my circumstances.

Any suggestions?

Personally I wouldn't even think about ever using the wilderness set.

Wilderness shoulders and 3 set for the win. CA and spell damage bonusses rock.

The rest of the stats are garbage as theres nothing at all defensive on them.

Theres nothing garbage at all about the wilderness set, if your going for the 3-set bonus. Just because it's not a tanking set doesn't make it garbage IMO.

The times I tank are very very limited. When grouped it is typically with my guild where I am just dps unless the MT goes down and I have to tank for a bit. Other than that, I just solo around.

I currently have a full set of the Combatant gear and have about 40 shards saved up. I am trying to figure out whether to now get into the Jin Drake or the Wild Cry sets. If I go Wild Cry, I obviously need to first invest in Wilderness.

Thanks for any input.

As Crab say, get the 3 set from Wilderness, it rocks for sure.. Just make sure you get the 3 most dps minded, without loosing the 3 most defensive ones from the other set..

Wilderness Shoulders, Gloves and boots = a nice dps boost (Aggro control also), and you can still wear the 4 most defensive of the tank ones.. If you do not have acces to raid gear that is..

Tanks having DPS gear is absolutely not garbage. Bruisers get their hate through DPS, so without DPS gear how do you expect a bruiser to hold aggro against GOOD assasins, wizards and that sort?
