<p>so i just bought Everquest 2 with the desert of flames expansion pack and im having a huge connection problem</p><p>i enter the game fine</p><p>i enter my account name and password</p><p>it tells me its "trying to log in server1" followed by "could not connect to a login server. the servers may be busy please try again in a few minutes."</p><p>ive been trying for 2hours to fix this and i am frustrated can anyone help??</p>

You don;t mention which you use, but you will need to authorize the program at teh firewall - if you are using the old launcher it is eq2.exe and everquest2.exe</p>

<p>I am getting this too.</p><p>However this is not normal - I usually login fine. There must be an error which is not your end.</p>

<p>I have the same problem.</p><p>Apparently they're doing a system maintenance downtime for 5 hours.</p>

It is a new install, major chance it is a misconfigured firewall behidn the problem</p>

You might want to try bypassing your router so that your computer is plugged directly into the modem. That will tell us whether or not it is being caused by a blocked port.</p>
