So I barely got the new rig up and running, and thank you for the tech TSR's with all the help info with Win Vista!

Anyways, I was wondering if EQ2 doesnt like to have two instances running at once from the same install, the machine looked like it can easily handle two windows at once, till the 2nd one crashed.

I thought I read somewhere there was a trick to getting EQ2 to run twice at once? Or a 2nd install? Info is appreciated

I use the same install for both accounts. I do use Everquest2.exe to run the second

I run two and sometimes three clients on one machine. I only have the game installed in one place, and run the patcher for each client. If I'm running two clients, I actually run both balanced. When I run three, I run them all on 'very high performance'. My machine is Vista 32-bit with 3gigabytes of RAM and a 1 gigabyte video card.

I Sometimes run 2 accounts at the same time using the same shortcut on my desktop, with both on 2nd lowest settings. works well with lil to no problems ever. on my xpsM1710 laptop, and i resize each screen to fit on half & half the whole screen, works like a charm no tabbing or anything, jus mouse over to other toon back n forth n stuff.

I think this is a recent issue. I used to run two accounts on one box, until I got another. At that time, I had no problem getting the two accounts running from the patcher. I read recently that this no longer works for some reason, but that you can still run two instances on one machine by launching the second from EQ2.exe.

Station Launcher does fine for me, both running from the same install. Just log out with one account from the launcher, log in with the other, and it's up & running.
