so i plan on raiding a bit but most of my game play is duo/solo or small groups (and i may end up tanking now and then) now i dont like being tank but im not gonna have my fury friend do it. i plan on DWing but the sta line seems so vital if i want tanking to be an option. i want the str and agi like to be 4 4 6 8 1 but that doesnt leave me with enough points to go much down the sta line. i was thinking (since not going to use shield) that i would go down the sta line 6 8 8 0 1 the agi line 4 4 6 8 (or 4 6 4 then the str line 4 4 4 8 (is giving up the end line ability in str line worth what i would get in the sta line? also the def bonus in the str line is low right now but i just rolled this char, how good is it end game.

any input on how you gusy think i shoudl spec based on my game play thanks

also sorry for typos did this on my cell phone

I don't really know about all that, lol..

but keep in mind..

You can get a AA mirror once you get some coin / higher lvl to use two different AA settings and swap between them (one for tanking, one for dps/solo for example)

you can talk to you class trainer and get a free respec card for 5 respecs...

Deadz

First off, I'm going to link a couple of prior thread on this subject. (Please note that TSO can out in Nov 2008, so any posts prior to that don't take the current content into consideration.)

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=432420

<span style="font-size: 8pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=426913

Now having linked those, here are my own thoughts. Brigands aren't real tanks. Period. They can never tank for raids. Nor are they the best suited for the new TSO content. (One poster in a linked thread was bragging about tanking some of the Everfrost instances. Since those are childs play by TSO standards, I wouldn't call that to be an arguement swaying accomplishment.) Especially considering that much of the TSO content is based on linked mob encounters, which are an inherent weak spot for brigands in the first place.

A brigand who is built to be durable can OT on the fly. Between high avoidance and stun locking the mob, the brigand can possibly survive while stalling (or slowly killing) the add. But there is a real difference between the OT mold and the MT mold.

If you're trying to tank for pre-RoK content, then you should be fine. Even most of the RoK heroic content shouldn't be an issue. But the top end RoK heroic and much of the TSO heroic will cause you issues. (And considering that reaching the top level is a goal for most people, this is definitely something to consider.)

My own dual wielding heroic / raid AA build is as follows:

Str: 4-4-8-8-2

Agi: 4-6-8-7-2

Sta: 4-4-8

That general build gives you the max avoidance and health possible for a dual wielder. You'll have the max in-combat run speed available (for those knock back and shifting encounters) while also being nearly guaranteed on getting off x3 rear attacks (even if you're having a bit of lag).
