So dedicated to the game, he or she walks around with bloodshot eyes, sleep deprived, wearing his or her favorite wrinkled SOE T-shirt?
I have several people in mind! Choices, choices! However, I am open to bribes. I accept in game plat on Venekor, PayPal, most major credit cards, and of course Cheese. No muenster though. It gets stuck in my teeth.

I'm the kind of person they'd like to make "disappear" if such an activity were in the budget. Besides, then everyone else would have to pay to check an extra bag for all the rotten fruit and vegetables to throw at me at Fan Faire.
There is so many criteria to gauge a nomination... I mean really.

Hours per week? Number of quests done? All content cleared? Helped you in a pick up group last night? Your guild leader? The local server farmer that makes your masters easier to get? The raid guru? The guy that has an alt of every class? The guy that has 5 accounts active?

Sort of a large scale award for such a wide variety of player types...

I nominate myself for meeting nearly every type of criteria there could be

It has come up with every contest I remember though. While it would be a good thing if SOE could figure out a way to legally include non US players and I understand you wanting to bring attention to the problem, he makes a valid post.

Sadly it is like this with many companies.... Every country has rules and regulations... SOE has subscribers in MANY countries... to work out every rule would be quite a bit of work...

But I can understand it... I am American, but my husband is not. He can never even think about applying to these contests either...

You need to be a resident of the US, not a citizen. Likewise, although you're American, you wouldn't be able to participate if you're currently living overseas, as you would fall under the laws of your host country while you're there. These issues revolve around where your permanent residency is, not the status of your citizenship (citizen, resident alien, etc.)
