<p>Y'ello!</p><p>ok, so now that the weapon restrictions have been removed from our AA lines I have a few questions:</p><p>- What reasons do we have for choosing a weapon?</p><p>- Is weapon choice now based simply on how we want to look?</p><p>- Is there a 'superior' weapon choice based on play style?</p><p>I've been playing the STR AA line so long I havent had to buy weapons in a while...  If now there is no other reason to have a weapon other than looks I can take some fist wraps and be done with it.  Is there a strong reason to chose fist weaps vs DW sticks vs 2h stick??</p><p>thanks for your input!</p>

<p>This is a good question monks!  are you all honestly telling me by not responding that monk weapon choice is now purely based on how we want to look??!?  Someone has to have some input.  There are 4 fistweapons: wraps, claws, katars, knuckles.  The former 2 have +19 str,agi,sta, 26-102 dmg, and a 2.5 delay.  The latter 2 have +29 str, sta, 41-164dmg, and 4sec delay.  Here, obviously, are 4 look options and 2 strategic options. </p><p>now, i can do this for the sticks as well, but being monks we all already know the choices. </p><p>So who's gonna post some useful info??  who has a parser that can show some DATA why to chose one or the other?  Is there still that whole bs of short delay vs long delay weapons??  Is it still bs or not?</p><p>thanks for any help!</p><p>post 2 cents you have</p>

<p>The appearance of your weapon (i.e., is it a staff, fistwraps, etc.) is completely cosmetic.  The important things are as follows:</p><p>1)Use weapons--with the changes to the str line going bare-fisted is not viable anymore</p><p>2)go for two one-handed weapons instead of a two-hander</p><p>3)match the delays of your weapons (typically this means two 2.5s delay weapons, but the important thing is that they match)</p><p>4)time your combat arts to fit between your autoattacks</p>
