This is what we call dual boxing. I am afraid that we cannot fix this issue because we have not experimented with dual boxing in the compatibility lab. The game is designed to run one instance at a time on one computer. You will run into trouble like this if you run 2. There are those (whispered tones) who have made dual boxing work. Perhaps they have posted their methods here on the forums. I cannot say. I cannot help you with this issue. I am sorry.

Well, I actually just solved the issue, just find a custom UI that you like and it should work fine.

I am having the same problem and it just started today.

I was able to dual box this morning, and later this night no go.

If Sony doesn't feel like assisting no problem, as their commitment to help me play my second account is directly related to my commitment to pay and run my second account. No $$$ for you.

Demi: I'm running profit and I still have this problem.

It seems to be the Station Launcher issue (at least it is for me) rather than EQ2 issue.... I ended up removing the Launcher and started runnin the game directly thru EQ2.exe - that resolved my issue!

Hopefully that helps you too

Posting to confirm Drakes fix is working.

Running EQ2 straight from the .exe in the program directory doesn't lock the ui.log file. Thank you

SoE should be cutting you a check for error testing. You know their going to use this post to correct the issue - if they do.

I've alwats used EQ2.exe to dual-box. The Station Launcher is poo IMO.

I believe TSR DanielH and TrevorG have posted on this previosly as well.

have multiple installs of the game that I multibox from, only one updates through the launcher, run a bat file that does a differential copy of the changed files to the other copies pf the game.
