litany of combat nerf?

<p>Patch notes states that litany of combat no longers affects CA's... WHAT THE HELL?!</p><p>Melee prowess (granted from litany of combat) increases the CA damage by 15% ... that is removed? WHAT THE HELL!?</p>

<p>  I am guessing that what they meant was it was affecting CAs during heal stance, allowing more dps than it should have.  I just checked one CA against the heal stance, with no stance, and with the dps stance to see the raw numbers and here they are as follows.</p><p>Writhing Strike + Redemption of Faith: 291-347</p><p>Writhing Strike + no stance active:       400-480</p><p>Writhing Strike + Persecution (dps):     447-537</p><p>So if my guess is incorrect I am not sure what has changed without doing another long ACT parse analysis of last week's raids against this coming week. </p>

<p>     Again, I am going to say it was adding the melee prowess during the heal stance. Wasn't supposed to from what the AA description says.  Going out on a limb here: the patch notes missed that little important part.  I read my spell descriptions just now and nothing has changed there... will have to try it out and see. </p><p>The "Battle Prowess" choice of the three abilities that Litany of Combat grants still says the following:</p><p>Improves melee damage of combat arts by 15%</p><p>Increases Weapon Damage Bonus of caster by 20</p><p>Caster will Double Attack on 25% of melee attacks</p><p>I will try parsing and seeing if my damage parses in Palace on the 25 trash mobs is similar to last week, considering group structure. </p>

If it is not, then they (soe) needs to learn how to write so we all know what the hell they mean!</p><p>Atleast I am reading that way... that the CA bonus part of litany of combat has been removed! They never mentioned that this is a fix or something to the healing stance (and by the way, if you are in healing stance litany of combat isnt taking effect ... wich was fixed in a previous patch)</p>

<p>just looked in game - on the uk servers here, so we got the update 1 day after you did.</p><p>the description still reads 15% to CA damage. my CA's are still showing the same damage range text as before the patch.</p>

<p>according to another thread on the same subject, the caster version of litany was also effecting combat arts, and this is what's fixed</p>

<p>well, if that is the case, then SOE really should learn how to write/inform its userbase correctly.</p><p>Me, and many with me, read it as if they removed the CA damage from melee prowess.</p>

<p>totally agree - I saw that and my heart stopped. Whomever wrote those update notes needs a smack upside the head.</p>
