EQII launchpad problem

<p>I just plugged in my computer after being offline for about 5 days after moving.  My EQII launchpad went through about a 30 min update then instead of getting a  red play button the "updating" button flashed red for a second then goes back to grey.  under the progress bars it says "update complete."  when I hit the white "download" button under the grey updating it scans the system real quick and says I am updated but still no play button.  If I close the launchpad and restart it, I have to go through the whole update again and still no play button.</p><p>I read Expertsniper's issues on the forum and My issue sounds very similar but I am running XP pro x64 edition not vista and I was playing just a few days ago and for a year+ before on this machine.  The only things that have changed are:</p><p>1.  Moved to a new house/phone line ect.</p><p>2.  Hooked into a different router here which seems to work fine for everything else.</p><p>3.  Opened the EQII launchpad and updated.</p><p>sorry if this  isn't very technical, help me please I'm jonesing for my EQ fix bad!</p>

<p>Make sure EQ2.exe is added to your security programs.  If it is, remove it and re-add it. </p><p>TRy bypassing the router.</p><p>Make sure these ports are open.  You can always go to portforward.com and use thier help too</p><p><a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=422517" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=422517</a></p>

<p>If you connected to a new router, the new router may have a firewall built into it that needs to be configured to allow the ports that are required for EQ2 to pass in and out..</p><p>That would be the first place I would look</p>

<p>Several of us in my guild have this problem since the last update. The way I get around it is, when it stops doing anything, there's a small word "Update" below where the red Play button should be. If you click that, if scans again for a few seconds, and then the red Play button appears.</p>
