ok, I'll admit it. The ONLY reason I'm keeping XP on my machine is because of EQ2. I've been looking into running it under Linux and followed a great many posts on the subject. Someone posted a link about running it under Linux using a service called Cedega. I went to the Cedega website and all it will tell me is that it is 'supported' ... In order to access the user forums where I could see posts etc, I have to join ($25 for 6 months or $45 for a year) ... I'm not opposed to paying that if it truly works, but I'm not about to pay that out, sight unseen AND reformat my machine etc just to find out that it runs, but only in 640X480 with no sound! I know what 'supported' means. It runs, but that doesn't mean it runs at full potential.

(kinda like the way Microsoft told XP users 'yeah, you can run vista' ... yeah, but you can't do much else but run it. LOL)

So, if anyone out there has used this service, please drop me a line and let me know what you think about it!

Thanks in advance!

Have hed it break multiple times after major game updates. Not worth the headaches to me. realy depends on your hardware setup in Linux, transgamer has a narrow list of acceptable flavors of linux builds out of the thousands that are out there.
