Installing/Patching issue

<p>I just bought my brand new gaming laptop two days ago, with the hopes of playing EQ2. If I checked all the requirments correctly, it should be able to handle it, but now that I am intalling the game, it keeps stopping after a moment with this error message 'Window: "EverQuest II LauchPad" Images could not be loaded.' With that there's only an 'OK' button, that shuts it down. Any ideas how I can fix and/or bypass this issue?</p>

<p>I don't know if this will help or not, but I've read often here in the forums you need to run the program as Administrator if you're using Windows VISTA. </p><p>I'm still on XP Pro so I don't have this issue, BUT I do know I had problems getting the patcher to run under my Beta version of Windows7 until I chose 'Run As Administrator' and then it worked fantastic.</p><p>Hope that helps!</p>

<p>I had some similar issues on Vista.</p><p>Right-click on the Launchpad and choose Run as administrator</p>
