Apologies if this has been addressed in an earlier topic... I tried a search but didn't see anything that 'sprung out' at me...

I am not using an custom UIs, just the standard EQ2. I set up my hotbars get my UI all nice and pretty, lock the windows in place (in case I get click happy during a raid LOL) and everything looks great. I sign out, log in an alt, select the same UI and wammo! The primary hotbar is indented. It works just fine, but it's moved. I check, it says it's locked. For some reason, it just won't line up and stay in place... I move it back in line, sign out, sign in, it's moved again.

Like I said, it's not a custom UI, I don't have any installed. Is there a setting I'm overlooking?

Seriously? No one else has this problem?

For any T/S guys that come across this... This issue also came after a clean install of EQ2 from the downloadable file from the website. The only thing I brought over was the PAKS folder (I didn't feel like waiting for 6 hours while it downloaded all the VPK files) from my backup. No ui settings, no caches... I don't have any custom UIs loaded, just the standard EQ2 settings.

This happens with every toon, regardless of wether i create the layout from scratch or copy it from another toon. It looks fine, but when I log off and log back in, the first hotbar is indented (but everything else lines up perfectly) ... I can't imagine it's a hardware issue, everything else is lined up perfectly...

Thoughts?

Try beating your computer up until it does what you say. Also make sure you have read write permissions on the EQ2 directory (admin) so that it will save files properly.

You may want to delete the following files and folders:cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniAs well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.ini

tried all that over the weekend, even deleted the entire thing and reinstalled from the downloader from the website... still happens. I'm just going to live with it. It's only cosmetic, like I said, the bar works fine, I just have to move it over everytime I sign in. It's more of a curiosity thing now... LOL
