Surrounding Attacks - STA line

<p>Has anyone played around with this? So far, I'm str to the bottom, and int to the bottom (I know, Intoxication isn't the best thing ever) Was thinking maybe after hitting 70 doing something like this...</p><p>Str 4 6 4 8 1</p><p>Sta 4 4 5 8</p><p>Int 4 6 4 8 1</p><p>Was just wondering if Surrounding Attacks was useful or not. With how hard we hit on auto attacks, it seems like it could be nice, but a lot of things look nice on paper. If its not all that great, I may switch over to agi line for the extra points, as much as I hate spending them all just to get Poise.</p>

<p>I keep 2 profiles on the mirror, both have full STR and AGI.  If I'm hitting heroic instances I have 4448 STA, if raiding I go 4448 INT.</p>

<p>I use the entire STA line for pvp, but surrounding attacks has the potential to get you into trbl if you hit a guard or something along with what you are fighting.</p>

<p>I was thinking more for PvE. As to agility, I know why the cast speed is nice, I just don't like, what I feel, is wasting all the points to get it. The only ranged attack I use is the improvised weapon line when I run out of CAs. I find when I back up and then go back in, I end up delaying my auto attack unless I start just after an auto attack has occured, which usually at that point I have a melee CA up. It's usually toward the end of my auto attack that I run out of CAs, and I just fire off improvised as something to do, then auto attack fires, then I usually have something up again. So really, all of agi would just be for the cast speed, and I just feel there has to be a better use of points that would still help out PvE dps.</p><p>I don't know, I rolled an assassin because I wanted to melee, not be at ranged like a ranger, it just feels silly to end up having to go down the archer line.</p>

<p>I was AGI all the way for my pve spec, but once again...I moved it over to WIS and went all the way INT...The 35% is nice, but it is a waste of about 8 points to get to it.</p>

<p>To me, its pretty much a waste of 22 points just to get the cast speed AA. The point blank shot would end up just another random thing to use like improvised weapon if I'm bored and nothing is up. Run speed....not really that great. The ranged crit....I don't use my ranged attacks too often other then soloing. So really, its a waste of 22 points to me for cast speed, and I just have to wonder if there is a better use for those points elsewhere, but its looking like sta line isn't any good, and wis is pretty much just slightly helpful for solo...so I guess outside of str and int, its all pretty much a waste. Maybe I'm just missing something *shrug*</p>
