Where to start?

<p>Hi all, I just bought the TSO box and am patching now. Can't wait to try out the game, as I haven't played in over a year or so. Just wondering, where is the best area to start out as a newbie these days and how to get there? Thanks in advance.</p>

Timorous deep is the latest starter area and is really good, but you can reach it without any problems from everywhere. So i doesnt matter where you start. But if you take an evil char then go gorowyn if possible if good suggest you take kelethin. But if you do take freeport / neriak / qeynos, you only need some travelling to go to gorowyn and do timorous deep anyway.
