Since update 51 agro (for me) has been a little flaky. Has anyone else noticed this?

Also I have been doing the x2 raid with a SK in the second group, I find it very difficult to hold aggro from him. Initially I thought it was because those frontal AE’s where one-shoting my amends target…

But after I compensated to avoid the raid getting frontal and my amends target hanging back… it made little difference.

First time we both had a dirge, second time I had a coercer he had nothing. Is Amends broken or are SK’s really that good?

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-AU; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Just FYI… I was higher DPS ZW than the SK, Mythical, full T2 shard armour.

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-AU; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Dekain

I've experienced a very similar thing. I'm MT with an SK OT. Both of us are similarly geared, full T2 shard armor, mythical, etc. I've noticed this especially in group encounters, which the x2 is full of. I believe the culprit is their AOE taunt, Grave Sacrament (which is also a threat position increase). There have been times that I've had to drop Rescue, Sneering Assault and Holy Ground/Consecration in order to get aggro off of him.

I'm thinking that it's something that was leftover from the coding done to incorporate the fighter update that didn't go in. In that update, SK's were to be AOE tanks. Maybe something was done with their AOE taunt in regards to that. That's the only thing I can figure, but something is definitely flaky.

SK's have a bugged spell since the LU that is the culprit...to be fixed soon iirc, prolly this week.

I've had a similar problem with a brusier recently. I was significantly out-dps'ing him but would still lose aggro from time to time. Not nearly as bad as it was with an SK in WoE, but still seemed odd.

Grave Sacrament = impossible to hold aggro from then

How does amends work when cast on somone that is jusmping roughly 5-8 hate position per second for 20sec? (24 people pounding on the mob... every time it is hit thier is a 33% chance of the SK getting a hate position)

If I'm not tanking I don't use it in the rotation. The recast is fairly long anyways. I have no idea how it works with amends.

If they're not the tank, they shouldn't be using any spell that increases threat position. Doesn't matter if it does uber damage or not. I've grouped with SKs where I was the tank, they were DPS and my Amends target. Works very well, as long as both parties know what the heck they're doing.

I noticed something similar today but it wasn't with a shadowknight. We were in a maidens chamber run where I was doing equal dps to our warlock whom was amended, and the brigand doing just a little more than my dps alone, but despite the fact that the warlock's transfer and amends was more than enough to keep hate off him, he was still building some mad agro even with the illy's dehate buff and his dehate poisons. I had to work alot more to hold hate than I have in the past, and nothings changed in our group setup. If it were any other situation, I wouldn't think much about it or just chaulk it up to being rusty on my pali, but I've run hundreds of instances with this same group and seeing as the hate meter now gives a difinitive number on your hate gain, it doesn't make sense why all of a sudden the brigand was generating more hate than usual.

Since I am not trying to hold agro off a shadowknight, I can't comment on that situation, but another paladin in my guild has been having issues with his agro recently as well, and I believed it to be his AA spec not being complete. I can't say for sure, but since our berzerker didn't notice any difference between now and before holding hate off of the SK in group, I think the coulperate is more likely something done to the paladin. TBH I wouldn't be suprised at all if it was a ninja change seeing as the paladin has always been treated by the developers as the red headed step child when it comes to which class to abuse.

To be honest, I haven't noticed any real issue with aggro. My Paladin is raid geared/mythicaled and I typically run instance groups with other raiders, and of course, raid. It "feels" the same to me as it did before GU51 was published.

A few guild mates and I mentored down and killed the epic crystal guy in Everfrost. Two of the members were on their SK alts. Well, they thought it'd be funny to play a trick on me and both used their grave sacrament spell. I was like "[Removed for Content]!!!! I can't hold aggro! Time for holy ground and consecration!!", which ended up making things even worse. But then they let me know what happened...kinda funny.

Other than that, haven't had any aggro issues.

Yeah, unfortunately when you have two tanks in a group, it can sometimes lead to this [ahem] "contest" between where the one who's not tanking decides to display his uberness by ripping as much as possible from the tank. It's annoying and tedious, but it happens.

There's been cases where I've even explicitly asked if they're using position increasers, and they say no. I go back and review the logs and see them using stuff like Grave Sacrament, Snarling Assault, etc. I just don't have time for that kind of stupid.
