I, my best friend, and his wife want to return to eq2 badly...but from others we've contacted and from what we've read the server (the bazaar) that we have our toons on is dead.

The problem we have is that our main toons, mostly 50-60+ with a few 80's are too high of level to just start over (not a commitment we want to do). Is there any way to get transfered to a more populated server without having to pay $50 per character? I was under the understanding that once you're on a station exchange server, you can't get off. My friend told me that's not true and that it just costs $50 per character. We're not rich, and cannot afford to pay all the money it would require and we're not trying to rip the company off...but we loved the game and the station exchange (although it's a good idea) has ruined a lot of it and we just want off the server onto a server that isn't dead.

I know it's a real longshot and I know that 3 accounts doesn't mean much in the big picture to Sony as it's only $45/month...but the three of us seriously sit around and talk about how much we wish we could do eq2 again. I'm going to bookmark this topic, and I realize that it might be falling on deaf ears...but I had to try.

You cannot move off the bazaar.

You are better off starting on a normal server, IMO.

Once on a Station Exchange server forever will it dominate your path...

Sorry..ahem...Yes it is true that you CAN NOT transfer off of the Bazaar. If people could they would PWN all of the PVP servers and make giant money on the PVE servers. It would alter the game in the extreme for those who chose not to buy characters and equipment. I am sorry about this but it is a good idea to keep those characters seperate rom the general populace. Also all character transfers are $50. This makes SOE money and it disuades people from selling characters and simply transfering them to the buyers account.
