In closed-door sessions that lasted late into the night, EverQuest II developers found themselves face to face with the game’s producers in an attempt to resolve employment issues for a number of franchise properties. Part of the demands put on the table, sources say, include significantly higher hourly wages and better work conditions. While no official word is yet forthcoming, several key developers were accosted while on their way to the restroom or the snack bar and asked to comment on the lengthy negotiations.“It’s going to be a very long night,” Autenil, Technical Director for EQII, sighed. “Some of the things they want are just not possible the way our system currently works.”"Well,” added Domino, “If you were them, what would you want for yourself and for your family? These are tough economic times. It’s tough for everybody. They just want their fair share.”Kirstie shook her head when approached. “I’m not going to comment because I’m simply not going to.”A very tired Zoltaroth noted, “I’m missing “Heroes” for this?!”Froech, senior producer for EQII, looked glum as he strolled the corridors lseeking a frosty mug of Coca-Cola. “I don’t like it,” he muttered. “I don’t like it one bit.” When pressed for more info, he added, “I guess they’re just not numbers people.”Shortly before dawn, the bargaining session called a recess without seeming any closer to a resolution. One member of the conclave, acting as spokesperson for his constituent franchise properties, came forward with this statement:“While we are pleased with the impact our group has had on the citizens of Norrath and have enjoyed our time in service to the franchise, we are nonetheless at a crossroads, a juxtaposition of want and need, and our voices must be heard. Our demands are quite simple: longer lockout timers, an experience average of at least 65% for raid groups, fewer mounts in our staging area, and at least one ten-minute personal break every two-point-five hours. “We do not feel these are outrageous demands. We are hopeful for a speedy negotiation so that we, and the citizens of Norrath, can get back to the business of working together toward more compelling game play. Barring this, we are prepared to strike.”Ignoring the massive energy bolt lobbed in my direction, I watched as the doors to the executive conference room opened to readmit spokesperson Venril Sathir. In contrast to the quiet of the corridor, the conference room was a cacophony of commotion. I noted that Anashti Sul had a protesting and bluish-aura’d Aeralik in a headlock of death, while Trakanon was raining lava bombs down upon a grim-faced developer named Roger.

No word on whether there will be further talks between the parties.

Yes, yes, but what about Beas tlords, surely they would have helped your barganing position - SOW for a faster run for that coca cola, their warder sleeps under their desk so no more mount problem, haste for faster and more efficient working conditions, KEI for more brain power, regen for that refreshing regenerative boost needed for the 3 pm slump. Jeezsh, how many more years do I have to spend elucidating all these fine points??? Had they been implemented by now these would have been non negotiations for you becuase heck, Ricky Boy A can solo all your enemies so that you can spend more tme at the water cooler or in the closet with that hot intern (or two).

It's not Antonia's fault. He does have Christopher Lee's voice.
