View Full Version : version not matching server's version

<p>i updated the game yesterday (31 march) and could log on without any problem, but as of today (and it's no april fools joke) i get  "Login rejected; your version does not match the server's version, please rerun the patcher" messages everytime i try to log on. I changed the Everquest2.exe into Everquest2exe.old, so the patcher would download the file again, but i didn't work...</p><p>I'd appreciate any advice, thank you.. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>same here, it checks a couple of files then doesn't start updating.. it just says complete.</p><p>then press play to go to character select, and get the message</p>

<p>yup, i'm also on Runnyeye...i also have a char on Splitpaw, and there it's the same, can't get to char selection, nor log on directly to any char by selecting it from the patcher.</p>

<p>Same here. Looks like they did the same thing as before and sent wrong files to the EU servers.</p>

<p>login to the english US server and getting a verry big download there, hope it solves the problem. worth a try to me</p><p>After doing that and going back to english EU server there the big dowload started also.</p>

<p>I'm also having the same problem. Even doing a full file scan doesn't help. I'm going to try ladyannabell's suggestion with the US server.</p>

<p>Top right corner of the window you put the password in, there is a drop down list to choose servers.</p><p>Patching mine atm on Ladys suggestion</p>

<p>on your first login screen where you can agree or decline, there is a dropdown box on top right where you can set the server.</p><p>european server is uploading patch also now so maybe give that a try again, good luck</p>

<p>dont bother using the us files, the eu patcher will revert them back to the state prior patching to us version</p>
