CTD after character select.

<p>I've seen numerous threads on other forums about this, but none of them seem to be exactly what I am experiencing.</p><p>So I'm posting here.</p><p><strong>My specs.</strong></p><p>Windows Vista Ultimate x64</p><p>Q6600  @ 2.4Ghz x4</p><p>4 Gb 800 Mhz Ram</p><p>Asus 8800GT 512Mb</p><p><strong>My problem:</strong></p><p>I open the station launcher, it patches and whatever else it does, I launch the game, I get to the character select fine, I can tweak the settings, I can look at all my characters.</p><p>When I press "Enter world" it all goes to hell.. Eq2 crashes unexplained, it doesn't even display the loading screen.</p><p>Playing in a window it just greys out a bit and windows "program crashed, searching for a solution" window pops up.Theres no error message no nothing, it happeneds every single time.</p><p>I don't know how I can try to solve this problem.</p><p>I have the latest drivers, atleast for the graphics card and sound card.what else could be the issue?</p><p>I've been able to play on this computer a long time ago,Only thing that has changed is that I got 2 more Gigs of Ram.. (and ofcourse the updates for windows)</p>

<p>Also, it doesn't seem to matter what settings I have, be it Extreme Performance, or Extreme Quality.</p><p>Crashes at the exact same spot anyways.</p><p>I have no problems playing Age of Conan, Far cry 2, Crysis, Left 4 dead, GRID, Fallout 3, Empire: Total War..None of them show any sort of problem.. I really don't see what could be affecting Eq2, and none of the others.</p><p>I'd really like to play.</p>

I would like to look through hard ware and drivers.</p>
