<p>Just got a new computer ..i7 cpu, 2.93GHz,12 GB RAM,GEForceGTX 295</p><p>Have Vista home premium</p><p>Have been playing the game in windows mode for years... (XP of course)</p><p>Go to put in windows mode and the computer freeze up every time.  Is there anyone out there that can give me a bit of direction on how to fix this or do I have to play the game in full screen mode?!  Also is this a EQ2 issue as it was designed for a 32 bit system ?  Any and all iformation on this topic would be appreciated.</p><p>Ps  I know that running as admin does not work to stop the freezing issue</p>

<p>There is no know issue with Vista 64 and windowed mode. Please email us and we will trouble shoot this problem thoroughly. If this is an issue with the game it will help us to get a profile started on this issue but as I've mentioned this is not a known issue.</p>

One thing to try, the I7 reintroduced hyperthreading (dumb idea) in the CPU design  try setting the multi-core support in EQ2 to off</p>

<p>I have the exact problem.  My system is</p><p>Motherboard: ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 Memory: CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6GHz Socket AM3</p><p>With Vista 64 Ultimate.</p><p>I can play the game fine when in full screen.  The minute I try it in windowed mode.  I have to reboot.</p>
