Hi there,

you should try to find and use AA advices in this forum, some wizards are not kind to share their wisdom with other.

so, this is my advice, but you should do a research too.

i'm in PvE server, so its different from PvP, and when I start to get AA, when my wizzy was 56 because, in that time I didn't have the expansion, but now 77 with 108 aa's, its not much, but at least try do quest.

your mission is do many quest to get enough AA's, you have 22pts expend it in Manaburn, you will use manaburn is some situations.

you objetive is divided in two parts.

for solo and questing

1. Sorcerer Tree

try to get full line of AGI tree = you will cast faster

and try to get full line of STA = hp and battlemage spec

for this you need at least 50, but get 50 its no so easy at least you do many many quest.

thats the basic, but if you have the oportunity to respect your AA's

I would spend it in AGI line

4/4/6/8/2 AGI (you need 25) so if you get 3 more you can fill this line.

or

spend 5 in debuff of icy = less resistances and more damage

spend 10 in shields = more wards to survive in close range combat

start to spend or fill the STA line in sorcerer

4/4/6/8/2 you will get more melee defense,

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=408230 Solo AA's

Hello!

If you are going to be soloing and such, I'd personally drop manaburn right off the bat. You can get it again later if you really want, but you'll get more bang for your buck from the Sorcerer tree really. The only thing I liked from Wizard tree while leveling was the Magi's Shield ward. That I'd put 10 points into right away if you are solo'ing. Eventually it falls behind damage the mobs do, but thats not til fairly late in the game. Til then it provides a nice boost to save your butt while you get off a root and scoot.

Agility is a good line to go down, as is Wisdom. Stamina is only if you don't want to root'n'nuke. Honestly, if you are doing it right you won't GET hit, except when you get unlucky on resists. Strength's good after that, but I'm not a fan of the endline ability. Sure you get the crits, but you also give up health. BAD when you're soloing.

If you haven't yet, read Daray's raid wizard guide. Yes its focused on raiding, but the information is valid for all aspects of the game, even leveling. It has the pretty much standard AA builds in it. It's sticked at the top, or here's a link.

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=418277

As the previous poster said, you will need more AA of course, but thats easy enough to get. Do the quests, get disco and off you go. And dont' forget to have fun

I did a history search on my posts I've made in this Wizard forum and found these.

AGI and WIS are both good bang for buck. Imo though the 14% cast speed is more useful all around than the 4% base damage. Also freehand sorcery is kind of pointless until you can freehand Ice Comet/Fusion and their upgrades (lvl 50, then lvl 65 for fus). Also back when AA cap was 50 for KoS tree, the optimum dps setup was indeed, Wis/Agi. On the wizard tab its really good but, again, not as much until lvl 50 and up. You get great bonuses to Fission, Bolt of ice and Storming Tempest (lvl 58 iirc). Maxing out frigid gift will also make you a more desirable group member. Heat side doesn't seem to pack the same power cold does, but it has some nice AA's still. And to answer directly, I think the Sorc lines AGI/Wis are more important than wizard tab.

-------------------

Manashield/STA line I really would recommend against it. It's good for PvP and its good for wizards tanking mass green mobs in low con zones, or PL'ing with a wizard, its nice to grab MS, or I even use it sometimes just to beat a scout in a duel once in a while. For the everyday grouping or solo'ing though it really is unnecesary giving the dps you have to give up to spec it. We have 2 roots, an unbreakable 36s snare and many other snare/stun effects. If your not playing sloppy or dumb, MS is totally not needed. If I remember right, the KoS AA's came out a bit after PvP was introduced, so it was probably more intended of a spec for people engaging with other players, cause there it is golden. Manaburn has no right or wrong answer. Spec it and try it, you'll either feel it fits your style and keep it, or ditch it. This is effected big by type of gear you have (lots of power regen gear) and also group setups. Why the int line? What kapow lol. It's a deaggro line, its useless, i would never tell anyone to spec that god awful line as its a waste of earned AA's. ;pspec AGI (max casting speed rank) up to the endline /WIS (max base damage rank) up to the endline/ and STR (max extra crit % rank). Wizzy tree is solid on the cold/heat side but, alot of the cold spells you won't have for a while (storming tempest, fission, ice lash, bolt of ice etc). The order in which ya spec the Sorc tree really doesn't matter but, if you cant my personal take on it. Base damage > cast speed > crit.

-----------

AGI > WIS > Wizard cold spell AA line > wizard heat spell AA line > STR for max crits > spend remainder in wizard tree.AGI and WIS come in just about equal but i'd venture to say cast speed is nicer for solo'ing.AGI - 4 - 4 - 6 - 8 - 1WIS - 4 - 7 - 4 - 8 - 1STR - 4 - 4 - 4 - 8 - XHeat and Cold lines are alot of personal preference. A few that can't be ignored tho are maxing redning icicles, storming tempest, frigid gift/iceshap, bolt of ice. On the fire side make sure you land points in Ball of magma/fire etc and max it - rest are all pretty decent choices.

------------

I just really don't feel like making the same post for a 4th time :p Are all 3 of those old posts not saying the same exact thing? =/ Wizards have given AA advice yet people make a new thread for it every 3 weeks hoping people can retype the same lenghty reply so they don't have to search.
