Is there some reason Undead summons are very small and don't give you the sense that your Spider pet is a weedy little undead thing (the bat was fine).

Can I, personally, have it twice the size it is? Why on earth do you need a 35% shrink spell?

Are players in groups complaining that the Spider servant is getting in their precious way?

My Spider's size is important.

You say that now, but wait until higher levels where your pet actually gets large and in the way. It's even worse for us Conjurors.

Wait until you're in a raid and the melee classes yell in unison "get that [Removed for Content] pet outta my face!"

SoE's answer to this was to give out a shrink spell (which should ALWAYS be used in groups/raids), but when this wasn't suficient, they made nec's worthless on raids to fix the issue. Now pets in raids are a conj only problem because nec's don't get invited to begin with /sigh

Yeah, shrink pet is really nice in raids and some groups (where the tank is a gnome, fey or halfling, for example).

So pets get in the way

but Assassins, Swashbucklers and other classes that don't* range

DON'T

Why is a pet that is not range doing what Assassins, Swashbucklers, other Melee classes, are doing

and being complained at?

The Necromancer's Death Knight thing on a horse. I assume it dismounts, right? Because if it doesn't, even I would stick it to someone who designed it that way.

You have a 35% shrink spell. How totally irrelevant is it going to get.

Firstly, this is a solo request. Why is there just NOT a system in place where the pets are big and intimidating and there is a shrink spell that does 50% shrink. Hell, for the people who ACTUALLY complain about these STUPID things, why not make them invisible. THAT WOULD SHUT THEM UP.

I mean for GODSAKES SoE. THINK STRAIGHT.

And one other thing about this class which I have started since returing-

The Grim Terror pet

-is not only

the most stupidest

most disappointing

undead, evil, pet

I have ever encountered

but is so stupidly out of place from having a Skeletal Demon Mage (and not to mention a Shadowy Stalker going from something that looks totally evil, to a black solid shape with nothing to distinguish -oh wait, a black formless shape of crap

that I have cancelled my account.

You blew it SoE.

Leaving things like this can only be met with disdain for people who have their BRAINS with functioning cells instead of players who seem incapable of deciding that enough is enough.

This may sound like someone who is

[Removed for Content] off

angry

annoyed

didn't get enough sex last night

GU51 might suck (and therefore, be concerned about it)

or

it rained on my toasted teacakes

but you are wrong

What's gotten my goat is that I am struggling to come to terms with EQ2 where you go through 40 levels, and it turns to utter garbage. The Necromancer class, for me, as a solo player, is so boring and it has gotten 10 times worse with the pets at 40-50 - that that is enough for me.

No I am not finding out that it improves. It wasn't great at the beginning either. Then the middle was sort of ok, then after that, I'm sorry, but it sucks.

There is no way I am spending that kind of time finding out any further disappointments.

Have a nice day.

THINK STRAIGHT.

First off, the tank pet is mounted only at tier 8. Indoors it dismounts.

Second, swahies, assassins, and other melee classes have the common sense to stay behind the mob while the MT stays in front. Pets don't have that sense.

Third, if you don't want to shrink your pet then don't. It's really only for raids that you need to shrink. Smaller pets also reduce video based lag for other players.

Fourth, although I agree that necromancers do need some work, particularly with pet aggro issues, the last thing I really complain about is the graphics (except for the lamia scout pet which does look out of character). There are bigger issues to be dealt with regarding necromancers.

If you are that disappointed with the necro class then I suggest you try a different class. Conjurer, perhaps, will have pet graphics more to your liking? Or forget pet classes. If you like soloing then try an Inquisitor or a Fury.
