Hi Folks!

First I'd like to say thanks to Domino and her team for all the work they've done recently and for all the feedback/input that she asks of us. Only dev I see doing that

My question is regarding the Far Seas tradeskiller's faction armor purchased in Mara. I've bought a set and mixed the colors a bit, just for looks. Midnight boots and gloves, Russet everything else. I've noticed however that the different colors don't stack for the set bonus. I have 2/7 to Midnight bonus and 5/7 to Russet bonus. Both sets in the end give the same bonus both by name and effect, so why couldn't they stack? Was there a specific reason? As far as I see, all of the stats were the same between the two sets, so I'm wondering why they were made as different bonuses and could/will they be integrated into the same?

Thanks!

Ady

It is my understanding that you must have the correct amount of pieces from ONE set to earn the bonus, not mix and match.

We don't currently have a way to display a set of 42 items (7 slots x 6 colors) all on one tiny examine window. Just the 7 items in each set fills the examine window pretty well. If you do want the set bonus but also want to mix and match colors, the appearance window should let you be pretty flexible though!

It would make it a little undocumented feature !

Mainly was curious about it since the only difference between the sets was the color and each had it's own name set that it stacked with (ie russet, midnight, indigo, etc) but they all achieved the same effect. Thanks Domino!

Edit: Yes the first post was me, just noticed my tweaks to profile didn't change the name attached to it :p

They have stats I never noticed (giggle). The indigo set made my main fall and D I E. She's a purple fiend and that set is da bomb.

Autenil and his team are working on a way to allow us to make huge enormous sets without the examine window being the size of Texas. If this is doable and works out, then it would be possible to revisit the Far Seas item sets, although I think very few people do mix and match so there may not be a real need.
