Hey! i'll keep this short and simple,

i'm a level 24 necromancer on the PvP server venekor, i'll mostly be solo'ing instances and grinding through the quests, but i'll be doing pvp as it comes to me, i won't be going out of my way to get to it. I'm satisfied with my AA choices, but i'm not sure if i'm doing the right thing, i'm not entirely sure if i could be upping my DPS or survivability by other means, i can't post where i've actually put my points as i'm at college, but i can post what i've gone and going for.

I've placed no points in the summoner tree YET.

I was going to go 4,4,8,8 in stamina, 4,4,8,8 in wisdom, and i wasn't sure where i should place the rest.

i've grabbed lifeburn, and i'm now going down for tainted heals, i've got 31 points, so i'll need a further 11 points (and few levels) before i can get that.

have i done the right thing so far? is there anything i should/could change for better results? should i change my set-up for when i go down the summoner tree? should i respec and go down the summoner tree first?

Sorry for 101 questions =P i did read up the stickied thread, but it didn't seem to "appeal" to my needs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, any replies would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just a short reply such as "You're on the right track"

Thanks in advance!

PvE-

1st.-Rotting Line, lifeburn; This is crucial for your dps by hastening your dot tics, damage, and cast timers of your primary spells.

2nd.-10 pct. damage absorbtion for fighter pet

3rd.-Tainted heals line, points in root, stun, fear, and mark; the end ability is a necesity for soloing in PvE

4th.-STA line- 4,4,8,8; end ability is somewhat pointless since it stifles your pet, disabling his ability to taunt

5th-STR line-4,4,4,8; spell crit is a necesity for dps

PvP- (My personal opinion, so far it has had the most success for me up to level 65)

1st.-Rotting line, lifeburn; again crucial for killing another player as fast as possible

2nd.-STA line- 4,4,1; you get a mandatory 2 second taunt for ANY of your pets with a 10 second recast; this is an absolute necesity for survivability

3rd.-Max points in root, fear, dispel magic (for healers to rip off their hots, wards, reactives), stun, as well as Consumption recast when you're 58

4th. STR line-4,4,8,8; Parry is also a necesity for survivability, uncontested avoidance helps a ton. The max spell crit can be extremely useful with lich form and lifetaps, as those become critical healing if they crit and of course for DPS

*Points can be put into scout or mage pets, as some PvP necros have had reasonable success with these lines, but the fighter, in my opinion, is the best pre-t8 since it has root abilities as well as a 3 second stifle; it is also extremely AA-efficient and does not require maxing most of the line like the scout or mage pets. If you do chose to go down the scout pet line get max double attack and 6 in shadowstep, the pet avoidance check doesn't work in PvP; also get the pet taunt on STA line when you can. If you do mage pet max out recasting, casting, and recovery speeds of the mage pet, the pet spell absorbtion also doesn't work in PvP.
