Best Class?

<p>I just bought the game and the Guardian looks like a fun class to play for me. My question is, does it matter which race you choose for him? If so, which race should I be?</p>

<p>Race does not matter. However some races have a slight edge over other races when it comes to racial traditions. In the end you should play a race that you enjoy looking at; if you can't stand how you look, you'll always regret it.</p>

<p>I’m with ogre also. The 10 sec stun immunity is nice extra 3% more HP, + crit / aggression + physical mit are nice for tanking the commanding presence is nice fun spell makes the ogre 20% larger. While race won't break the class it DOES matter especially when you go for a min/max approach. It used to not really matter but since they updated races back in RoK (or maybe before I don’t remember) choosing a race has a little more thought than just “looks”. I know I wouldn’t want my guard as a dark elf but for my conjy it’s nice with the extra power deagro short term spell crit buff that would be useless on the guardian. Sorry if that <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: ">confuses</span> you more lol.  For fighters ogre trolls barbarians sarnaks all make great tanks, I think sarnaks get a passive trait that makes there taunts resisted less. again it won't make or break the class. Personally every new alt I make is either ogre or troll I like being preaty <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>I favor barb over ogre since guard myth provides some stun immunity.</p><p>Both are good choices.</p>
