<p>same here, just talked to support, they said the login server crashed and they didnt have an ETA on it coming back up.</p><p>They also said to watch the forum and they would put it out when it would come back up.</p>

<p>After almost 2 years of hiatus from the game I start it back up monday, purchase and install the expansions, etc...  I get home from Video Games Live concert only to find that I can't login.  This comes right after I decided to quit WoW because of Blizzard's inabilty to keep my account secure and banning me (among other reasons such as horrible content release schedule) only to come back to good ole SOE failing as usual....</p><p>*sigh* Maybe I should go sign up for Shadowbane :p</p>

<p>The fact that there's been no communication from any party as to what happened to the login servers, or how much longer it's going to be, and it's been over 2 hours, is not exactly encouraging. The ability to log in to the forums now is nice, but I wish they'd have fixed the game first.</p>

<p>I just wanted to thank the SOE folks for all their hard work in getting the authentication server back up. As one who has played WOW and LOTRO for years before coming here, we have merely a fraction of the downtime that the others have. LOTRO has an hour or so almost every day plus lots of server reboots(esp on the three bigger servers). WOW is down most of Tuesdays plus server restarts. Yet since coming back to EQ2 after trying the trial a few years back, this 2 hour downtime we just had was the first I have experienced in the 5 weeks since I went retail.</p><p>One other thing - the other games tended to be very buggy the first day or so after a good sized patch, yet I have not had that here.
