I am currently leveling a Mystic up and having a great time at it, but I have started to notice an issue with the regenerating ward buff Runic Talisman. Its at master 1 and should ward group for 122, which it does when I first cast it. If I zone/log out it leaps down to 87 damage. I tested all previous versions and they do the same, so is this a new bug? or a known issue?

As a note - my friend who is a Wizard and has the AA line for wizards that give a regenerating ward and its always lower than it should be after zoning/logging out also.

I've noticed this as well - long ago. I just recast it after each zoning. Knowing how much dev. attention our class gets I don't expect this to be ever fixed

Yep, I've noticed this too. I've actually seen it change while I was casting the rest of my buffs, so I'd have to cancel it and re-cast it then too.

I've noticed same problems with both shamans, mystic and defiler. Before zoning buff has ward amount like it should have according to spell description, after zoning it's undervalued. So I always have to recast it after zoning.

As well I recognized the changing while rebuffing completely. Other shamans I asked about it didn't recognized the bug. So only a few of us seem to be affected by it. Nevertheless I hope it will be fixed soon!

I have it hot barred individually and in a macro for when I rebuff. On the macro its the last one spammed to avoid it changing while I am buffing.

Many of us will see it as this base number on the UI after casting. We zone and suddenly its a lower value below the base number it is supposed to be. If it says 280 in the spell description I zone and now it says 140 there is a problem.

If I were to speculate about it, I'd say that the problem is related to how buffs are re-applied after zoning. Whereas when you cast a buff, you have all your gear affecting the cast, when you zone, perhaps the buff is being reapplied before your gear is reapplied.

/speculation off

In any event, it must be a pretty rare bug, I've never noticed it. Honestly, when mobs are hitting for 10k, my 300 HP Ward isn't really a big part of my arsenal. I simply wouldn't have looked for it.

Looks like they fixed this with todays patch. Everytime I zoned the ward would not go below min value like before but usually crit for more.

The worst part about this is I have seen the Defiler version as 30% of their heal parse in T8 raiding....with about 650hps by itself....
