I'm a little unclear on the meaning of "This encounter no longer gives experience or rewards" when you run away from a mob.

When does this reset? In other words, when does the mob give experience again? When it dies? or is there a timer on this?

I believe it resets and gives experience/drops again once the mob's completely reset to it's original location and returned to full health/power.

This isn't quite as much of an exploit of multi-mob encounters as it might seem. The leash range (point at which the mob will break off pursuit and reset) is a lot longer once you've taken hostile action towards the encounter than when you've simply aggro'd them without engaging them.

That is my new method of pulling social mobs.

Hit one and run.

His buddies drop off sooner than he does.

Then stop and kill em.

Rinse & repeat
