I'm not sure if this had been asked and answered as the EQ2 Search fuction is not the most versatile of features. But here goes.

Does anyone know if you mentor a raid member outside of your group? In other words, if you have 11 50+ characters and one 20ish character can they all mentor the 20? Or do you need a 20ish toon in each group?

Raid Mentoring:

1) You require one mentor target for each group.

2) The average level of the mentored raid must be within 10 levels of the target to con xp.

3) No single member of the raid can be greater than 14 levels higher than the con of the target to con xp.

Thank you Motzi. It's for the scaleable city writ raids so just need to get some of our alts or lower mains on for that one. Appreciate it.

I suspected as much.

You'll need to have a mentor tank for these, last I checked they didn't scale down very effectively.

Also those scale to the HIGHEST person in raid when you click the door. If you can possibly arrange to get that level as low as possible for click in and them readjust mentoring after zoning in and the mob con is set, they are significantly easier to do.

The base level does affect what rewards if any.

Not sure any of that is useful to you or not, but thought I'd share everything I found when I played with it.

Our guild does these once a week.

We usually just find the two lowest people who join and mentor to them.

Once we go in we rementor if possible to make things easier.

But...We haven't had many issues with any of the instances. We even squeeked through a few of them one week with only an 8 man raid.

The issues I had were scalling them down to the 20-40's range. Going in with a level 28 MC/a3 tank with a zone scailed to level 28 = fail. Tank was just getting owned by the mobs in there.

Doing them 50+, had no issues. It was the lower level range of the scale that was off kilter.
