Hi all,

So my old main is a level 54 Iksar SK and I played in the “old" days when most laughed about a SK tanking anything. I duo with my wife's healer, so groups are still cake as dps is always eager to jump on board.

Here is my question; it seems like SK's are at a high point right now and the content does seem a lot easier then I remember from 2+ years ago. Will the upcoming changes really be so drastic, or will it merely be a bump down from our current capability of strong dps and tanking? I have to say that even in the beginnings of EQ 2 I never found my SK to be lacking, only more involved and difficult then some of the easy mode tanking found in other classes. That is not a slight to other tanks, merely my observations from that time.

Any insight is appreciated as we would like to have classes worthy of raid slots come end game.

itll be drastic changes, but theres yet to be a consensus as to it being easier or harder.

Personally I'm hoping it will be enough for the FOTM players to jump ship and find another class. If you liked SK before that probably won't change that. It is noticible even comparing tanking in defensive on live and test. But, livable.

As far as raid slots go, for tank guardian will probably be preferable, but it's always hard to get a tank spot in a raiding guild.

Thanks for the feedback thus far.

I agree that it would be hard to nerf the SK down to where we were at release, so grouping should be cake. I'm content with no SK raiding as there are plenty of group dungeons and quests to do for great loot anyways.

I am still hunting for a raid friendly class, seems the primary ones like Bards and Enchanters are such fun to level solo. My Coercer still exists, but the thought of primarily soloing to 50+ is painful, last I checked Coercers took ages to kill anything. =)
