I am a 2H wielder at heart, so I have a 2H sword. Problem I am having is I die every time I try and fight a mob even one level higher than me. I can also forget about taking on 2 mobs that are both one level lower than me. I am level 9 at the moment. Is this a common problem for the entire 80 levels? What type of rotation should I be using? atm I am using FCFS with healing when I have no attacks up.

I find that I can solo my Paladin with great ease. Make sure that you are in the best armor that you can get. This may sound very basic, but make sure you are buffed ie, offencesive stance and use your taunts that have the Divine debuff so that you can do more damage to your targets, I know that sounds weird to use a taunt while soloing, but it works. Kick and use your interupts as fast as they come up, also use your Fight Chance = heroic opps. My Paladins name is Strongheart and I am on the Butcher Block server, If I can help you at all let me know.

/bow

Strong

Level 9 is not the best level to judge what your Pally can and can't do. Too many mistakes at that level can be made. First off, you can use a 2 hander, but one of your low level spells that is most effective is your shield type bash, this does some damage but most importantly it knocks down the mob. If you try to use a 2 hander all the way up, I think you will struggle. Your primary AA line is blocking mastery in the Paladin line. The 2 hander should really only be used on green/blue mobs that don't hit hard. Just my opinion, but above poster called it that a Pally does in fact need decent gear and adept 1's to be successful. Good luck and have fun

The other thing to keep in mind is that as you progress in levels, you'll have more and more CA/Spells/Heals/Wards available to you for during fights. At level 9 I don't think you've even gotten your first of 3/4 of the various CA/Spell lines. As you move up, you'll have more buffs and a lot more stuff to use to heal/protect yourself, as well as put out more DPS. I agree with the other folks though, I sported a shield and 1h'er all the way up, unless I was grouped with a higher mentored tank, then I'd pull out the 2h and all that. I'm on the Oasis server if you're on there and need assistance.

Vak
