<p>I can't start the game. When Station Launcher tries to contact the server, I get on of the following messages:</p><p><span style="color: #ffff00;">An unknown error has occurred while updating. </span></p><p style="margin: 0px; text-indent: 0px;"><span style="color: #ffff00;">Please try again. <p>Uninstalling, then reinstalling fixed it.</p>

<p>This actually sounds like a firewall blocking the game.  Reinstalling would fix that issue as well, but it may pop up again later. </p><p>If this issue ever returns, open up your firewall options and access the exception list.  Remove EQ2.exe, Everquest2.exe, and I believe the final one is called launchpad.exe.  The next time you launch the game it will give you the 'allow or deny' message again.  Select allow and you should be able to access the game again.</p><p>This can happen when a firewall stops recognizing our game after an update.  Following the steps listed above should fix the problem without requiring a full reinstall.</p>
