After your friend converts the trail to a full subscription, you should see something after your next billing cycle. That's when my friend/guildmate had his show up after recruiting someone.

so whats the point of the recruit a friend program if my benefits for grouping with him arent imposed until a month and a half of him playing.....he will be 80 by then

Log into your SOE account and click on Recruit-A-Friend tab. Scroll to the bottom and you should see the status of your invite to your friend. If it says "Trying Game" then you did it correctly and just have to wait for your friend so sign up and pay, I guess.

If you did NOT do it correctly (or your friend didn't, which is what happened with me) then it will say only "Invitation Sent" and if your friend has signed up and paid, then you will need to contact SOE to have them refund your friend's money. You will then need to re-invite your friend and have him/her follow the directions to the letter. SOE will send those step-by-step directions to you, altough they are also available elsewhere on the forums as well as the Knowledge Base.

Good luck! It's kind of a pain but once you get it right, the mount is worth it.

I'm going through this with a friend atm. I could be wrong, but I don't think you're going to recieve those rewards for at least 14 days. The /claim reward is granted once the trial account converts to a paid subscription. Even if your friend has subscribed he won't be billed until the end of the 14 day trial, thus his acct isn't "converted" to a paid yet...

On my Station page it shows my friend as "Trying" the game, even though he signed up for a subscription a day after starting the trial.

But I could be wrong.

Yeah, I'm probably wrong. The /claim mount showed up on my account yesterday. Well before the trial period expires.

As soon as the EQ2 subscription shows up on the persons bill/bank statement. Mine took exactly 24 hours....depends on his or her bank. Bank of America is fairly quick, and was on my electronic statement as I said within 24 hours. It does not take a month as someone just previously stated, unless the person you sent the trial to used the entire 14 days, then upgraded the subscription at that time.

How long on average does it take for the recruit a friend page in your account info to update from Invitation Sent to Trying after they upgrade from trial to a paid subscription. I've done this before but I didn't check to see if it updated instantly the first time and now this second time that I'm doing it still shows as Invitation Sent and no matter how many different accounts I create and start a trial subscription under using the recruit a friend link in the email or the recruit a friend link that you can link to directly via the recruit a friend account page it still continues to show invitation sent with 3 accounts having used that link and created characters in game. Only one account has upgraded to a full subscription though.

Now that they've had a couplafew months to streamline, are people finding the delay between their friend's card being billed, and their receipt of bonus goodies any shorter?

While "the instant my buddy is billed" is preferable (and easily do-able from an IT standpoint), I know it's not likely -- are people seeing hours? Overnight? A week?

Within one (1) billing cycle of each invitee's conversion of a trial account to a paid monthly subscription, one (1) month of gameplay time (up to a maximum of twenty five (25) months) will be added to the end of the inviter's then-current subscription and Station Cash, Legends of Norrath booster packs and in-game items will be granted.
