Melee Mystic-AA and gear

<p>I recently picked up my lowbie mystic, level 20 as of last night, and I have a few questions.  I only have about 6 AA points, is there any reason to lock combat XP on a PvE server if I mostly solo in order to grind quests?</p><p>Also, what kind of gear should I be looking for, and what kind of stats?  I seem to get parried, and miss my CAs a lot.  And if anyone has a decent link to some kind of comiplation of melee mystic info I'd really appreciate it.</p><p>EDIT:Also, do trade skill quests or writs add to AA experience?</p>

<p>Combat XP lock:  Highly recommended.  I'm not sure where the unlock point is yet.  I locked at L20 on my most recent alt, he's L39 now and I'm still struggling to get my AA's to keep up.  You need to get 100 AA's at / before L70 in order to avoid a very painful grind at L80.</p><p>Until you've got 50 AA's, you're still just a Priest trying to do things that a Priest isn't really good at.  You need the AGI line to the end ability, and the CA line to it's end ability to start to see the real benefits / potential.</p>

<p>Yuppers...about 40 AA until you are truly a melee mystic...</p><p>you gotta max out your CA line and get the 100% crit from agi line and you will be rockin!  : )</p><p>If your missing a lot of attacks, make sure your weapon skill is maxed.</p><p>as far as gear? Pretty much, you want scout type gear...lots of str to increase damage, agi/sta so you can take hits.</p><p>If you can find str/wiz gear go with that too, though its more rare.</p>
