I am in a motel due to the nature of my work. Am on the road alot. The motel has wireless access, only drawback is, one has to pay $3.25 a day for access. They give a card that has an activation code on it. It goes through IP3 servers. So there is nothing I can do to effect the router. At least nothing I know of. I have talked to tech support from IP3. Nothing has changed on their end.

I was able to log in without a hitch till the last update. Now I get stuck at the login server. It tries to log into them all twice, then tells me to try later. I've tried later for the last day and a half.

Maybe I have been lucky up till now. Most problems were solved with asking the front desk to reset the modem.

I just talk to IP3 tech support again, and they have done everything they can do. It does seem my connection is faster now. That's a plus. But on the other hand I am still plagued with not being able to connect to the login server.

As you can see in my 1st post, I have tried turning off my firewall. I then went on with the login procedure and failed again to connect to the login server.

I manually added C:Program Files (x86)SonyEverQuest IIEQ2.exe and C:Program Files (x86)SonyEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe to the exception list. Tried again to login and failed again to connect to the login server.

I was able to overcome the problem of not being to able to login to the login server.

I restored my computer to a point 1 day before the update. When I did this, I noticed there was a Windows update that had been done the night before the EQ2 update. Perhaps this caused the problem.

When the computer had finished restoring to the restore point I had directed, I attempted to log into EQ2. When I did, EQ2 scanned the files, did a minor file download, then logged in properly.

So, if you are having a problem logging into the login server after a update, I would advise restoring your computer to a date before the update.
